Christmas Crafting and Shopping World

Well the christmas crafting is well underway at our house - 3 gift complete and approx 3 to go.

well the time has come our little town is out of the dark ages and we now have a new shopping centre/mall - my happiest and saddest moment are combined in the fact that we now have a lincraft - happy because we now have some craft selection sad because i wish it was a spotlight :(

G and I are also planning JD's dedication (christening) so i picked up some nice stuff to make invite for that at good prices :)

my creative space

inspired by the "do you have a craft space?" thread on Ravelry i decided to share my creative space.

i share my creative space with my kids which has its positives and negatives, i can supervise them and craft at the same time but i have to pack stuff up before i leave the room or it becomes play fodder

mmmm.. yes that is shag pile carpet.. it will go.... one day.

and my cheeky little monkey hanging off my sewing chair

My Pidgeon holes which were my grandfathers, he built them for his office and i believe he used it to sort bills etc.

The Yarn Stash

The sewing table with one of said mischief makers already trying to open the drawers

and finally the view from my room.

Covered in Knit

So i am now a guerilla knitter - i am joining "covered in knit", my first tagging will be in the near future adn lets just say it's festival themed. I spent last night whipping up my first few tags with hand written messages part of my theme is "bringing the world together, one stich at a time".

G is off fishing this weekend so it's just me and the kido's, not sure how much knitting will get done but i'll be trying.

I have also started my christmas knitting a scarflette for SIL in Rowan summer tweed - such a yummy yarn ...swoon, but need to get my arse into gear so i can have it all done by christmas :)

until next week ....mwah

Miss Lilli turns 3

So saturday was miss Lilli's 3rd birthday we spent the day out and about doing what she had asked (a trip to the Big Banana) and had dinner at McDonalds so she and her friend Jamaica could play in the playground. She was very stoked to get Woody and Jessie pull string dolls and some lightning McQueen stuff but most of all she loved this special shirt that Aunty Rae (SIL) made for her, and why you may ask...." because it has my name on it" ( she always wants those cups/drinkbottles etc that have kids names printed on them but they are always spelt Lily which she is able to recognise is wrong)

Hello World..

HI.

so this is it, i now have a blog !!! whoopdy - do :)

so what do i write about ? I knit, i sew, i raise kids, and i work :)

what i've been doing -

I am strating to sew for the summer ahead - Knitting is taking a back seat for a few months, just a few projects to finish, then i will be working on a lace stole for next autumn. My sewing projects are some frocks for me and some shorts and dresses for L and J.

I am making a new cover for our lounge - very vintage, very paisley.
